Accountant / Bookkeeper – Nicosia – Competitive Package
We are supporting a well-established audit and advisory firm to expand their team with an Accountant / Bookkeeper in Nicosia.
The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, handling VAT and tax submissions, supporting audit processes, and communicating with a portfolio of local and international clients.
Responsibilities
-Perform full-cycle bookkeeping for local and international clients in line with IFRS
-Prepare and submit VAT returns, VIES, and employer returns through relevant platforms
-Manage monthly payroll and Social Insurance contributions
-Perform bank, creditor, and debtor reconciliations
-Prepare trial balances and supporting documentation for audit purposes
-Communicate with clients regarding accounting matters and statutory deadlines
Requirements
-Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
-2+ of experience in an accounting or audit firm in Cyprus
-Holder of LCCI Higher, CAT, or similar certification
-Solid understanding of Cyprus VAT regulations and tax deadlines
-Experience with accounting software (e.g. E-soft or similar)
-Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
-Excellent command of Greek and English, both written and spoken
